Gatehouse tower is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Special note of thanks to receptionist. Terézváros district certainly deserves to be visited. We recommend & would happily return.
Didn’t dislike anything about the property!

The breakfast was tasty and all the personnel were friendly! Bajza Street tube station was within walking distance to the hotel.
-
It's quiet, but very central located in the city. The parking space is a big extra for this kind of hotel.
The hotel is outdated and needs renovation.
-
Excellent location for travelling with children. close to the circus, funfair, zoo and main city park. friendly staff and good value for money.
-
the location is good only for those know the city,
the internet fotos and the actual room you get do not match, the rooms are older, bathroom doors rotten..., youghurt at breakfest served was off...
-
Nice hotel at the prize - had the facilities for the basic needs with no bad surprises
-
Hotel was near to the Marathon competition and that is why it was very comfortable for me.Metro station is a few minutes to the hotel.
-
Location, free wifi, clean room and bathroom.
-
have stayed in this hotel before, great location for Heroe's Square, also metro just around the corner.
Because we had stated that we may travel with our pet, we were given a room in the older block of the hotel which was in need of a refurbish, would recommend this hotel but only for rooms in the refurbished side.

minibar, breakfast, front terrace with bar, friendly staff.
didn't like people can smoke inside their rooms. Also curtains were very light colour, could not sleep once the sun was up--rooms need dark curtains!

Price...... :( Taking into account the location. Taking into account the overall quality and services, even the price was poor. Clean, though.
Low quality staff, very, very, very old furniture, and in very poor shape. The hotel was a good one, maybe 20 years ago. Nothing seems to be changed since then, in facilities of the rooms. Maybe just the hall and the reception.

The hotel was a 2 min walk to the metro and 3min walk to free parking ! Wifi in reception/ outside on the front terrace! Hotel staff were accommodating to our requests.
Part of the hotel is very old and run down. I booked the standard room as it said it had aircon, but when we arrived the floor where our room was , looked like a bomb had gone off , our room was horrible and had no aircon !!! After my Hungarian girlfriend went down to complain , they said only superior rooms have aircon ! Not what it says on Booked.net! The hotel was good enough to honour my booking and moved us to a different room on a different floor with aircon , at no extra cost!!!

We liked the room itself. Was very clean nd very high standard. very near to the quare of national heores and nice walt to the city center. We would use is also next time in Budapest.
The service was not to speakenglish . They were able to use some words in strange menaing and even more strane pronunciation, but were not able to understand longer questions and mostly they were not able that they do not understand, they only answered "yes" whatever the question was.

The Hotel Benczur is a nice, modern, large, comfortable hotel at a good location. It is convenient to a metro stop. My breakfast, which was included, was excellent. I did not eat any other meals in the restaurant.
Prior to staying there, I asked by email about internet access in standard rooms and was advised that it was available for an "extra charge". After I checked in, I inquired at the front desk about how to access the internet. The woman on duty told me there was none. I showed her the email I received. She shrugged her shoulders and said something to the effect that she had no control over what management told me. Her attitude was, "get over it". I emailed the original source again and she told me internet access was available through a separate company at a cost of about $25 per day. I was unable to access it because I did not have a compatible phone, which was required. Wi-Fi was available in the lobby, which was sometimes noisy, due to a bar there. I would recommend the hotel only if internet access was not important to the traveller.

The breakfast was excellent for the three stars hotels.
